Rob's career began as an intern at Microsoft in 1998 where he created Orca – the original tool for viewing MSI files and a vital component for diagnosing installation issues on the Windows platform. Since that time, Rob has become one of the world's leading authorities on software deployment. As a Principal Software Design Engineer at Microsoft, Rob tackled setup and deployment issues in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Visual Studio. Rob holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri—Rolla.
Kirk's software career began more than 25 years ago at IBM, where he worked on the development of software simulators for the RS6000. Since that time, Kirk has founded and led two other software companies—one building semiconductor fabrication software and the other creating developer tools for the electronic test and measurement industry. Products from these ventures serve developers in companies such as Boeing, BAE Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Keysight Technologies, Honeywell and EADS. Kirk holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
