Issue triage
WiX 3.11: CustomActions and WinForms problem, from @win32nipuh, is back this week with the news from Sean that the original workaround he implemented to get the "modern ARP" working with managed custom actions in the original RTM of Windows 10 breaks this scenario in current releases of Windows 10. Sean already provided a pull request to revert the change in WiX v3.11.
Update WixShellExec custom action to allow parameters, from @Wiz99327, requests support for command-line arguments when launching processes using the
WixShellExec
custom action. We opened the issue in WiX v4.x.Burn should support sideloading Appx packages, from @barnson, requests support for Appx packages in Burn, now that Windows 10 supplies both easy sideloading and Desktop Bridge. I took this issue myself for WiX v4.0.
Strings are no longer formatted, from @9Rune5, in the third issue today related to Windows 10, reports a strange bug apparently introduced in a recent "insider" build of Windows 10. As it's not a problem in WiX, we resolved this as an external bug and hope that Microsoft fixes it before releasing the next Windows build more widely.
