This week's meeting might have set a record for shortest WiX Online Meeting yet at a mere four minutes, 52 seconds. Only triage was on the agenda and we had only a few issues to triage.
Issue triage
PerfCounterManifest is a veritable zombie bug, being thought dead for years, only to come back and bite an unsuspecting user on the ankle. We opened it in WiX v4.x for someone to bring a machete to bear and kill the bug for good.
BURN: Error during ApplyExecute does not invoke cache rollback plan, from @jchoover, is the tracking issue for the bug we discussed during the last meeting. Jacob and Sean are discussing the issue on wix-devs.
wixstdba.dll Is Not Authenticode Signed - Install Fails on Device Guard Enabled Machines, from @Alois-xx, is a continuation of an existing issue to sign custom-action DLLs. Basically, anything WiX DLL that ships via package or bundle to the end-user's machine needs to be signed.
Local user, created by msi package, is absent after major upgrade if RemoveExistigProducts is placed after InstallInitialize, from @aleksandr-grechko, reports a potential bug but we need logs to have a shot of diagnosing the issue. We'll keep the report open until we hear back.
