Remove RepairCommands from .NET Framework redistributable package groups, from @barnson, requests that the package groups in WixNetFxExtension not support repair. Repairing the .NET Framework is time consuming and almost always requires a reboot and it's usually not needed when repairing your own app. As this would be a behavior change, we took this issue into WiX v4.0.

WiX VS Project ignores GenerateProjectSpecificOutputFolder MsBuild property, from @Karankang007, points out that the WiX v3.x MSBuild targets do not support the GenerateProjectSpecificOutputFolder property. As GenerateProjectSpecificOutputFolder is part of the common MSBuild targets, WiX v4.x's MSBuild targets automatically get that support but WiX v3.x would need to manually implement it. We took this issue into the v3 backlog if someone wanted to implement this functionality.

WIX Heat - improper output - causes compilation error on the .wxs file produced after harvesting a .reg file, from @sharmade, is a follow-up to WIX Heat not harvesting a reg file properly - outputting the wrong attribute - 'Directory' instead of 'DirectoryRef' with the details needed to reproduce the problem. We took this Heat bug in WiX v3.x for someone to investigate the incorrect code generation.

This week's update on WiX v3.10.3 is, as we historically had, a no-op: After we released the new WiX v3.10.3 release candidate build, we've received positive feedback and none that reports any new bugs or regressions. Our tentative release date remains 4-July. However, we'd much rather slip the release than ship it and have to ship again, so please take a look and report any problems if you find them!

This week's update on WiX v3.10.3 is that we did not, in fact, release WiX v3.10.3 on Memorial Day. Unfortunately, a bug report came in that demonstrated the GDI+ fix was not 100 percent effective. Luckily, Sean was on point and fixed the bug. The new WiX v3.10.3 release candidate build is available; please take a look, plug it into your build system, and help us verify v3.10.3 is ready to be released. Our new tentative release date is 4-July, the American holiday the Fourth of July (known elsewhere in the world as the Fourth of July).
